Exterior Maintenance and Appearance

ALL EXTERIOR MAINTENANCE MUST CONFORM TO THE ORIGINAL SPECIFICATIONS, 
INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO COLOR, STYLE, SIZE, LOCATION, ETC., TO KEEP THE APPEARANCE 
OF MAIN STREET VILLAGE THE SAME AS WHEN ORIGINALLY CONSTRUCTED. 

NO MODIFICATION TO THE ORIGINAL APPEARANCE IS PERMITTED, 
UNLESS PRE-APPROVED BY THE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION.

Each owner is responsible for all of the exterior building and structural 
maintenance of their unit including, but not limited to: roofs, soffets, gutters, 
down spouts, sewer gas vents, siding, doors, wood trim around doors, 
windows, trim around windows, garage doors, wood trim around garage doors, 
light fixtures, driveways, decks, railings, steps, concrete slabs, 
and sidewalks not adjacent to the street.

Below is information about the specifications for the exteriors of the homes 
and the subcontractors who provided the original work. 
(Note: The association has approved some additional exterior specifications.)

Decks 

• The deck can be extended outward a maximum of 6 feet from the current deck. A proposal form must be submitted and approved by the HOA. (All proper permits required) It cannot be extended sideways. If you choose to extend the deck, the privacy wall must be extended also. Trex flooring or actual wood can be used, the same color as the approved deck colors. (see below)

• Stain For Deck, Railings, And Stairs 

Clear semi-transparent stain is recommended. The association has also 
approved Cedar or Redwood semi-transparent stain; these provide 
better protection than a clear stain to preserve the wood. 
No solid colors are permitted.
